What is YES Waiver?

The Youth Empowerment Services Waiver is a Medicaid program that serves children and adolescents ages 3-18 years old with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. YES Waiver provides intensive services through a strengths-based team model called Wraparound to promote a holistic and well-rounded care plan for your child's individualized needs.
YES Waiver services include:
Creative Arts and Specialized Therapies:
Music Therapy
Art Therapy
Animal-assisted therapy
Recreational therapy
Nutritional counseling
As well as other services like community living supports, family supports, respite services, and more.
To qualify for YES Waiver services your child must:
Be 3 through 18 years old
Have serious mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties
Have a qualifying mental health diagnosis
Be at risk of being placed outside of the home due to mental health needs
Meet the criteria to be in a psychiatric hospital
Be eligible for Medicaid
Currently live in a home setting with a legal guardian or on their own if they are legally emancipated
