Music Therapy Student
WHY I'M STUDYING MUSIC THERAPY:
Music was there for me at a time when nothing else was. It was my outlet during times of adversity growing up. I once told someone, “I really love music, but I also want to help people”. Their response was, “why can’t you do both?”. So, once I found out music therapy existed, it was a perfect fit because as a music therapist, I'll do both of these things every day!
WHAT I'M REALLY GOOD AT:
I am good at making people laugh and being a goof. I am good at showing up for people and being reliable. I am also a great songwriter and love to write music in my spare time.
MUSIC I LIKE:
One of my favorite bands is Radiohead. But, I listen and like all types of music! All music of all genres can and should be appreciated and enjoyed in my world. :) I will say live music is my all-time favorite- research supports live music is best too!
ME, AS A PERSON:
I am a nerdy open-minded individual who loves to read, learn, and engage in healthy debates. I was exposed to a beach-outdoor centered life at a young age, which led me to become an eco-nut that loves the Earth and nature very much! In my spare time I like to exercise, go on walks, volunteer my time, practice music, etc. My mottos: Always do the best you can do and pay it forward however you can.
