Angelica Zavala, MT-BC

Music Therapist

Angelica is a board-certified music therapist and a native of Plano, Texas. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music Therapy from TWU. Angelica is honored to provide services in her local community and work alongside a supportive group of therapists. She completed her clinical internship with a local private practice, where she provided services primarily for disabled clients with various needs.

Presently, Angelica provides home health and mental health services for a variety of clients. In addition, she works at a local non-profit where she collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of creative arts therapists focusing on accessibility in the theater arts. Angelica practices from an integral thinking approach focusing on client autonomy and the therapeutic experience. It is a privilege to support her clients in their path toward self-discovery, and she strives to create a welcoming and safe environment for all involved.

Outside of work, Angelica enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and taking too many photos of her cat. She finds happiness in creating art for art’s sake and has recently picked up gouache painting, often using her photos as a reference and inspiration!
